Nicole
LaVoie

|
Nicole’s intrinsic talent was nurtured during her art studies at Concordia University and Saidye Bronfman Center in Montreal and later at John Angel’s Studio in Toronto. She made numerous trips to Europe to visit museums and study directly from the Old Masters. She also took several workshops at the famous Scottsdale Artists’s School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Her love of nature with a fondness for landscape and flowers became the incentive to paint in plein-air or in studio what she loved. Nicole was one of twenty artists selected from across Canada to participate in a show titled: “Canadian Women of The Nineties” in Ottawa, Canada.
Her oil paintings has been shown in many exhibitions in Canada, the United States, France and Italy. She was a happy participant in the Plein-Air Painters of America’s Workshop, in Old Lyme, Ct, (2004-2005), then in Laguna Beach, Ca,(2005), in Scottsdale and Tucson, Arizona (2006). She also exhibited at the International Art Expo of New-York ( 2001), at the Château des Ducs de Duras, in France (2002) and at the ExpoArt International de Montreal, (2007).
She has won several awards and received media coverage in newspapers and magazines. Her oil paintings are part of many private and corporate collections in Canada, United States, Japan, France and Finland |
